Join us on Saturday, September 14th, from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Parkgate Plaza for a special 25th Community Day!

Live Entertainment

We have an exciting lineup of talented artists and performers this year. The afternoon will kick off with Cruise Control, a local band that specializes in rock, pop, and country-rock cover songs guaranteed to get you moving!

In the afternoon, we’re pleased to welcome Mike Norden. Voted Children’s Magician of the Year 15 times! His humour-filled show and wacky antics are sure to be a hit with the whole family.

Ending off the afternoon’s entertainment, we’re pleased to welcome back Deep Cove Big Band! Expect a fun mix of Big Band classics and newer material. These folks are no strangers to Community Day and we’re thrilled to have them back and celebrating our 25th anniversary.

Community Tables

Explore over 35 community tables featuring a diverse array of local organizations, businesses, young entrepreneurs, and talented individuals. Whether you’re interested in learning about local services, discovering unique crafts, or connecting with your neighbours, our community tables have something for everyone.

If you’d like to have a table of your own, there’s still time to register! Visit community tables for more details and to secure your spot.

Food & Treats

While you’re exploring the community tables, be sure to stop by for some delicious food and drinks! The Mount Seymour Lions will be hosting a BBQ fundraiser, offering mouthwatering grilled hot dogs and hamburgers. Plus, we’ll have refreshments and snacks from Bean Around the World and other community tables.

NVDPL Summer Reading Club Medal Celebration

Community Day will also host the North Vancouver District Public Library’s Summer Reading Club Medal Celebration! This special event will be presented by Mayor Mike Little, who will be joining us to celebrate the incredible reading achievements of our community’s youth. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young readers to be recognized for their dedication and to receive their hard-earned medals in front of family and friends. The ceremony will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Craft and Pottery Sale

The Parkgate Crafters are back with an assortment of wonderful handmade creations. From cards to children’s clothes to stuffed animals, be sure to stop by their table. All proceeds go directly to Parkgate seniors’ programs.

The popular pottery sale is also returning with a beautiful selection of handcrafted pottery. They’ll have everything from vases to dishware, decorative pieces, and more. Be sure to visit their table and take home a one-of-a-kind item.

Bouncy Obstacle Course, Airbrush Tattoos, and more!

An 85-foot bouncy obstacle course, INK airbrush tattoos, big games, raffles, book sales—we could keep going, but why not come on by Saturday, September 14th, and check it out for yourself!
