Parkgate Dementia Services
My Parkgate BREAK
Tu/Thu or Fri 11-3PM
My Parkgate BREAK is a gathering place for individuals experiencing the changes associated with early to moderate dementia. It offers needed respite to family caregivers and a chance for individuals to connect with others who are on the dementia journey. It runs twice weekly with 4 hours of social programming. This program is fully supported by staff and trained community volunteers so families can rest easy knowing their loved ones are in good hands.

My Parkgate Break ONLINE
The Virtual MPB program is based on the philosophical underpinnings of the in-person My Parkgate Break Program: a twice weekly community-based dementia adult day program. It replicates the philosophy, objectives and activities enjoyed by members who come to our in-person My Parkgate Break.
The Virtual MPB program embraces the concepts of socialization, respect, empowerment to do the things people can do, cognitive stimulation, fitness, laughter, nature, and music to maintain and enhance the quality of life of people living with dementia. The program utilizes YouTube videos to provide a twice weekly structure for a day of activities to both engage people living with dementia and their care partners. It also helps to alleviate the need to to figure out what to do with the day. I hope that you enjoy!
