Local Businesses Award

Each year, Parkgate Society recognizes local businesses that back our community through sponsorships, donations, and engaging in the community. This award is our way of thanking the businesses that make this neighbourhood stronger.

Below are our past winners and what made each of them stand out.

2026

Bean Around the World has become a go-to third space for Parkgate staff, volunteers, and community members, with many dedicated regulars. They’ve catered great, affordably priced meals for our staff trainings, events, celebrations, and consistently show up at community events with food and drinks in hand as a means of helping us fundraise. 

2025

An independent, family-run business, Pilkington Lawn and Landscape has sponsored activities at several of our events. Their team frequently goes beyond the sponsorship, engaging directly with the community in fun and family-friendly ways.

2024

An annual funder of Parkgate Society, Neptune Terminal helps us provide low-cost and no-cost programming for all ages. They regularly supply dozens of tents for our community events and have funded several video spotlights highlighting our programs and services.

2023

Cream Pony owner Erin is a North Vancouver resident, and that connection to the community shows in how she supports Parkgate. She provided donuts for Seniors Week, has donated treats for staff over the years, and has supported events for our youth.

2022

An independent, family-owned business, Fawcett Insurance has long supported Parkgate by sponsoring activities at Community Day. 

2021

Cedar Springs PARC was the presenting sponsor of Parkgate’s year-round event calendar and our weekly Community Lunch Program. Beyond the funding, their team regularly showed up in person serving meals, staffing info booths, and joining us at Seniors Week, Community Day, and Winter Lights throughout the year.
